The Light

So its been a while since I've been on here and by golly it has been eventful. It really is starting to hit me now that undergrad is nearly over and there is abosolutely nothing (unless I go for another degree) that I can do about it. It's crazy, and a little part of me isn't ready to go. BUT, I do know that this student taching application shabang is stressing me the heckie out. Lol. I'll be so glad that that will be done. I also killed PRAXIS. heckie yeh. Everything is going by so fast and in such a blur, all of my days are running together and I woke up and really realized midterms just passed. can you say HOLY CRAP the semester is already almost over.

Its been a good day even though fall has came like a bad attitude. Hopefully it stays that way. Oh well. This weekend I'm going to LU, hopefully that relieves some stress...

He can't catch a break for the life of him.
He did what he did, did the time and is still get harassed.
PETA and everyone that is a loyal minion needs to chillax. And to the NFL, ESPN, and anything that is sports related; not to sound super offending BUT... His crime didn't have anything to do with throwing a football.

He could have sold crack to cancer patients; that still doesn't affect him playing football. While in the meantime you got all of the MLB on steroids and its still the All American Pastime. Look by no means am I saying that he should be looked at as innocent but, well he committed a crime, he did what you guys wanted him to do: go to jail. He did that. So Vick tell them all to suck it with no bag. You didn't disgrace the name of the "holy" football. You just killed a dog. Hell, I hit a rabbit with my truck the other day. Doesn't mean I can't graduate. Either way people need to get off their high horse. This man didn't do anything to you. Harm you. Endanger you life or anything.
An animal's life is worth more than 2 human lives if you let PETA tell it.

Lord knows I love youtube. It can give you ignorance and bliss at the same time, & with that I have found something that feeds me in both ways. This guy says everything that I think and I love watching his videos. So look you need some hip hop getaway. I got you boo. :)

Rappers...

After the Ace Hood tear down on twitter I had a comment..

Where are the female rappers.
I mean. Really. Where are they?
I mean they're are some floating around but they are all kinda crap. Ok Ok. So lets see, Nikki Minaj (sp?)...
I've heard a few of her songs. The overall is actually ok but she's not something i'd run to buy. I think the female MC needs a makeover and pronto. Consequently I think the only reason people really listen to her is because she got some big nuggz, dudes want to insert in her slot and she's under the Young Money/Wayne camp. Really. Thats all. If you deleted reason 3 and never saw her, she wouldn't have a chance. what happened to the Foxys, the Kims (Hardcore Kim that is), the Roxannes, and the Lytes? Better yet, what happen to the rappers that did just that, flow. It doesn't seem like these chicks really try to do anything different. Or they just seem like a knock version of someone else. Just give Jean Grae the exposure she deserves and I'll hush. Lol.

Grad..

So this is graduation year for me. I'm scared of the real world. Lol, I don't want it to end. I love college. I think thats my underlying reason for going to grad school. I'm not ready to move on yet. Oh well, I cant wait to glide across the stage.

Eh.

I guess having a vagina, to designers, automatically means that pink and purple are in my top 3 in color choices. Listen, don't get me wrong I love the whole spectra of color just like the next person but I shouldn't have to be limited in my closet to what pallet i can choose from. I tend to try to stay away from the main line labels because they are all the same. Apple bottom, Baby phat, Dereon... the list goes on and on but even the underground labels are starting to piss me off. I love these labels because they do something different but end up jumping in the same box with the rest. It never fails. I celebrated and stalked the internets to find Luxire when it was first launch and got a couple of the key pieces, but as always it sulked in to the typical label and made it undesirable to me as well. So I pressed on and decided to try Married to the Mob .It seems as if they are moving down the same path.

I don't feel like I ask for much. Just typically tshirts. Not baby tees. Tee shirts. If Sons of Liberty, Frshness, 10Deep, and so on created a girls line and stuck to the same design methods as they do for the male counterparts I'd be in designer heaven. but, sigh, I seemed to be asking for a miracle of some sort. Although when lines come out for girls they seem to start out in the right direction they all end the same. tight baby tees, familiar cuts (halters..) with their monogram of some sort all over the tee. Come on people. Get creative.

another design flaw that irks me is the sneaker. it's tending to get better. but it seems as if i want a sneak i have to get something that is some sort of florescent color. Look. its 2009, not 1985. Day Glo is out and so is this scheme. Females like dank, strong color scheme just as much as the flirty ones. So why does every sneaker that I see remind me that I was once 7 years old.

I guess at the end of the day I have to continue to do what works as of now. Buy little boy's clothing and pray that I can find everything else in men's smalls and stalk stores for 7 1/2s. Jeebus Crist, who knew shopping could feel like a full time job. There is no reason why when it comes to "urban" clothing I have to feel automatically disappointed and blinded by all of the streetwalker-ish and bright clothing that lines the racks. Oh well, one day I wont have to worry anymore.
